Where are all the people?
What started out as a very nice forum, now turned into a deserted forum. Where is everyone?

Re: Where are all the people?
I've only officially started with the spearfishing/free diving thing this past weekend. Been doing research on spearfishing for about half a year now. I'm in Pretoria so diving is bit of a problem.
Currently I'm still trying to learn how to dive. Will be giving it a go during April.

What is your opinion on spearguns? I'm currently looking for one, but after this weekends diving with Centurion Freediver I came to the conclusion that one have to first test the gun before you buy as it is more about what suites you. Most SA manufactured spearguns are good qaulity. So it is a matter of what you like and feel comfortable with. Lets face it every manufacturar will say his product is the best, but at the end they are all the same design with one or two small differences.

Re: Where are all the people?
Lol true. well when i looked for a gun i went for a 90cm gun as its versatile for reef fish to game fish and the most important thing for me is the handle as i found with diffrent guns the handles were uncomfortable and my hand was to small for the handle lol but it depends what you like!! I was told that my first gun should be a second hand gun as its the gun you practise with and learn with but get a 90cm gun and when you pick it up feel the handle in your hand and pull the trigger to see if its comfortable, if it is then try the gun out!! but these guys on this site dieter and eckart have good knowledge on guns so speak to them!!
