Here are some points to remember when hunting game fish!!
1. be under water before the fish approach!
2. Freeze your position and analyse the course and number of approaching fish!
3. Schooling fish are very sensitive to gun movement!
4. Think about you profile and reduce it during your final approach to the fish!
5. Position you shot carefully!
6. Silence is golden
7. Clear water causes perception problems!
8. Surface approaches are very difficult, if not impossible with some species!

Generally with game fish such as yellow tail, the school will disperse as soon as the first fish has been shot. However, in order to keep the school around, keep the fish alive on your stringer, or if using a reel, keep the fish alive at the depth you shot it. The school will check out its mate in distress, giving you an opportunity to let your buddies take over for the second shot
