Cape Town Comps

Are any of the clubs proposing comps for the end of the year? Would be nice to get a crayfish comp going to celebrate the season

I think a little forum members comp would be a good idea for the first Sat of crayfish season. Remember to go and get a few license forms before the start of crayfish season, they always seem to run out around the start of the season which can be really frustrating!

Ya I think thats a good idea. I went to renew my spearfishing licence the other day, and they couldny give me any indication on when the licences will be issued? But a form in the mean time is worth it

I always keep a few at home, I have missed the first week of crayfish season twice because of not having a form.

I like your idea of a cray comp the first saturday of the season. will give guys time to get their licences

Maybe a shore-dive comp too. either open-species or specie-specific....

Just as a matter of interest, which members would be keen to part-take in a small cray comp over the first weekend of the season? Please reply to this so that we can get some sort of indication.

Blue Spearos Social Hottie shoot 2011


This is an open invitation to all

On Saturday 26 March Blue Spearos will be hosting a Social Hottie Shoot-out.

Shore diving only.

Entry fee is R40 per team of 2.

Only 5 fish will be weighed per team and the heaviest bag wins.

Meet up at Saunders Rock parking lot from 07:00 on the Saturday morning.

Registration will be from 07:30 to 08:00

Weigh-in strictly at 12:00

Prize giving and the weigh-in will be at Tech Gardens Rugby Club in Cape Town.

Prizes will be cash as percentages of the entry fee kitty.

1st place 50%, 2de place 30%, 3de place 20%

You must have a valid Spear fishing license.

Hey guys

At the moment the water is not looking to good for the Hottie Shoot this weekend so we have decide to move the Social compie to early May. This will give everybody more time to plan and make arrangements.

If you really feel like competing over the next few weeks there is the Huguenote Hottieshoot 9 April 2011 and also the Bonito Ope on 16 April in Stillbay.
