Die Damme near Gans?

Does anybody know a place called Die Damme near Gans.

a Colleagues of mine`s husband fished a compie there thi sweekend and app it was Brilliant. Kabbeljou runniing wild!!

i know the place die dam near gansbaai and the kobb are crazy there and you also find you odd ccracker!! i have a friend that is locate there and her father fishes there all the time and caughts soome great fish there. if you want i can post the directions and some places to dive!?!? let me know and them ill call him and get the info

How far is it to drive?

Hey just found out that their is a diving ban that runs from Gansbaai harbour to the mouth of the Ratel river well past Die Dam. Which means you can only dive to the right of Gansbaai harbour. So i can still tell you how to get there but you cant dive and thats a huge pity as nice size steenbras and kob comes out!!

die dam you drive through Gansbaai and you will get a stop street right outside the town with a sign sign left to klienbaai and straight to franskraal and you go striaght . After a couple of km you will get a sign turning you off to franskraal go past it until you see a sign die dam sign and turn to the right to die dam parking.
hope this helps and i fished there over the new year period and we caught nice cob and a couple of reef fish!!

ya its probably better to hit that side well just to let you know a nice place is onrus just before hermanus there is nice shore dives and brilliant fish like galjoen, dassies, JB, roman, big butterfish, hotties and some other reef fish!!!

Not a bad idea..but you can get those species here in CT as well at Millers.

Im looking to get some species racked up this year.
