Tail andlots of them!!

hey gents

Some guys i know went out to cape point today and got lots of nice big tail!! they said that the tail are in big schools all over the place so if any of you guys have a boat the place tobe for some nice tail is definitly cape point!!!

I managed a dive last Friday off the old slipway at Miller's. Viz was terrible, and had no luck. A mate of mine headed there a few days later to the edge of the kelp line off a little dingy, and managed a cracker, geelbek and a couple of roman. He managed to get amongst a group of tail swimming in the open, but missed his first shot, and the school bolted.

Wow, thats quite a dive... when was that? What size cracker?

One of the boats got very good tail at the point yesterday, we stayed in the bay and just caught snoek... managed 900 for the morning.

Was a 5 kg cracker. There was a whole school of them

I was going planning a nice dive today for gallies, but just got the call that I am going fishing. I guess I will need to wait until March 2011

Lots of tail at Rocky Bank yesterday and today, bit for a while yesterday and wouldn't bite today... doesn't mean you can't shoot them!

I was fishing for snoek today at the point, water was 17 degrees, but a very large swell. There were birds working just off SW Reef... hopefully things will start soon. The Ski-boats targeting tail managed a few, but not many with some katonkel in between. Plenty snoek at the wrecks! We had just over 800 for 8 guys.
