Bringel, I heard only good thing sof the Xfinns.

One of my friends dive with them.

Just keep in mind that shore diving with carbons is not such a good idea. They dont take punshiment on the rocks well like plastics.

Hi Guys ,

One can Dive With Carbon fins on a shore dive ,

I have a pair of composite fins as well as a pair of Carbon fins

Sure , you need to be careful on your entry and exit , but the results are worth it.

I added 5-6 meters on my depth when i changed to carbon fins

The Freedivers carbon fins are amazing they weigh nothing , they are so soft in the water , you hardly notice that they are on your feet.

They have an excellent Flex to them and they have the extra power if you need it.

I have heard good things regard the mares fins , for a plastic composite fin , i rekon they are good ,

With regards to the Xfins , they are manufactured by Steve Ellis at Fibretech and the Durban guys are using a mix between these and the Freedivers Fins.

A good point to take note of , is that all the following springbok divers are using freedivers carbons - Jaco Blignaut , Len De Beer , Trevor Hutton , Brod Whittiker and Alan Fraser.

This being there choice of Carbon Blades says a lot about the product , seeing that there is such a variety to choose from.

Cheers

Dieter
