Choosing a suit
Once you have made up your mind between open-cell, one-piece and all the other choices, fitting your suit is vital. Ensure that your suit is skin-tight, and there is no excess fold on the inside of your extremities(elbows, knees etc). This will ensure less resisitance in the water, and a warmer dive

Re: Choosing a suit
The rubber weight belts help with keeping new cold water from entering your suit. A few months back my belt ripped and I only had a nylon webbing scuba belt. I did a few dives with this and I got cold in half the time. Every time I dived the belt would slide toward my chest and on returning to the surface I could feel new cold water rush over my back. Rather spend a few Rand on a decent belt when kitting yourself out, it will make diving a lot more enjoyable.

I dive with a nylon belt, and experience the problem of it moving about

I promise, just spend R120 on a decent belt and it makes a huge difference.
